Espresso Yourself.
“Good morning, Lillian! Venti vanilla soy latte, add caramel (two shots) with an extra espresso shot?” Cheerfully, I accept this as my daily greeting when I start the morning bright and early with a piping hot cup of the world’s most delectable brewed bean. My freshly brewed cup of handcrafted coffee is the only drink capable of propelling me through my long days in the taxing life of a high schooler. Not only does coffee possess the richest, boldest flavor of any drink, but along with the coffee, a soothing environment is close to follow.
Just the smell of coffee sends a rush of caffeine through my veins, electrifying my tastebuds into extreme ecstasy. Coffee is intense. Intense like the final seconds of a state championship game. Intense like the deep colors of sunset. Intense like the pivotal moments in a stressful surgery. Coffee is intense. Rich flavors such as French vanilla, toffee nut, caramel brûlée, or peppermint mocha added to a fresh cup of coffee accentuate this intense flavor. When sipping slowly on a caramel latte, I become engulfed with a wave of scrumptiousness. Coffee is undoubtedly the crème de la crème of flavors, unparalleled by any other beverage the world has yet to experience.

Along with the addicting taste, a blanket of comfort also accompanies a cup of coffee. The comfort coffee provides is incomparable to anything else. Because of coffee’s soothing temperature, the warmth encompasses me and relieves my worries. Cuddling up with a hot macchiato is the most relaxing setting I can envision. Coffee is the only substance satisfying on a cold, rainy day when snuggled on the sofa with my favorite book. When I am upset and incapable of consuming anything else, coffee is my solace. When I am lonely, coffee is the only thing that can fill that empty crevice deep down in my heart. Or even when I am joyful and satisfied, coffee multiplies my happiness. Coffee is a drinkable embrace. Coffee evokes a variety of emotions: refreshment, warmth, strength, and relief. Coffee is liquid serenity.
Coffee is my artistic stimulant. I attempt to sneak my cup of comfort into my AP English class every afternoon after lunch, but I have yet to succeed in my endeavors. My omniscient teacher, Mr. Richburg, has spotted my mug every time I attempt to bring my solace into his class. Little does he know, coffee only increases my writing ability and artistic comprehension. I could be the next Jane Austen or Mary Shelley, but the world will never witness my greatness because the great authoritarian, Richburg, does not allow my dear coffee to enter his lair (occasionally referred to as his classroom).
Coffee is the solution to my problems. In order to start my day off well, a latte must be in my possession. The rich, captivating flavor awakens my senses and jump starts my brain. The unique flavor of coffee is superlative to all other beverages. The ambience coffee provides also surpasses that of any other setting. The combination of splendid flavors and tranquility coffee provides further justifies my obsession with coffee. Coffee is the most pleasurable and satisfying drink in the universe.
